In Disney Dreamlight Valley, gooseberries are a wonderful resource to come across. They not only restore 600 energy but are also a necessary component in some cookery procedures. That is more than twice what apples and raspberries provide! To get such a great ingredient, though, you’ll have to travel to (somewhat) distant lands and forage them. Find out where to find gooseberries in Disney Dreamlight Valley by reading on if you're curious to learn more.
Where to Find Gooseberries in Disney Dreamlight Valley
Frosted Heights and the Forgotten Lands are home to native gooseberries. Out of these two, Frosted Heights is the simplest to get because you can travel there directly from the Forest of Valor. Frosted Heights need 10,000 Dreamlight to unlock, compared to 3,000 Dreamlight for the Forest of Valor. Even yet, this is still less than the 22,000 Dreamlight required to enter the Forgotten Lands and the Sunlit Plateau. It's entirely up to you which path you take!
You'll find a variety of different plants and ingredients for cooking after you reach Frosted Heights or the Forgotten Lands, such as green bushes with large, orange fruits blooming from them. You're looking for gooseberries, and here they are! If you're having trouble finding them, look at the green apple icons on your in-game map. You'll find at least one or two of these in both areas, albeit they aren't always gooseberry bushes.
You will receive three gooseberries for each shrub you collect. You have three options from here: sell them for 50 coins apiece, make some food, or eat them to regain 600 energy!
The recipes that call for your freshly acquired gooseberries are all listed below if you're interested in using them in food:
- Berry Salad: Raspberry, Blueberry, Gooseberry
- Red Fruit Sorbet: Slush Ice, Raspberry, Gooseberry, Sugarcane
- Snow White’s Gooseberry Pie: Gooseberry, Wheat, Butter
On the PC, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation platforms, Disney Dreamlight Valley is playable.
