New World Interactive announced that the well-known strategy FPS Insurgency: Sandstorm will release for consoles. The game will be available on both Xbox One and PlayStation 4 this summer, August 25, to be exact. Console players will have the same content which is available on the PC platform right now.

Sandstorm's fan-favorite co-op modes will be there for the console players to enjoy. In addition, all the multiplayer options will be accesible to the console players. We should note that, clearly, you will need your console's subscription to play a multiplayer game. Players will also be able to do customizations on all platforms, including PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

Technical details of the console version are not released to the public yet. This will be the first console game we will see from New World Interactive, so we don't have any expectations. Frame rate, aim assist and other details will be shared before the game's release on consoles.

Furthermore, if you are attending the PAX East, you will be able to experience the console version. Focus Home Interactive, publisher of the game, will host the event at booth #29017. We will update you with further news if any information regarding the console version of Insurgency: Sandstorm surfaces.
