If you already own a PS4 edition of Marvel's Spider-Man Remastered, you might be interested in learning how to move your current save file over to the PC version.

A Reddit member has successfully done the same for Spider-Man as they previously did for God of War's PS4 save file. They claim that PlayStation ports' save files all have the same extension, ".save," and that you only need to rename them to make them compatible with the game.

How to transfer Spider-Man save file from PS4 to PC

To transfer your PS4 save and get it running with the PC remastered port, follow the instructions provided below.

  1. Hook up a USB drive and copy the Spider-Man PS4 over to it.
  2. Connect the USB to your PC and run Save Wizard to decrypt your PS4 save. Alternatively, you can also decrypt your save file directly on the PS4 via Apollo Save Tool and then transfer it over to PC, provided your console can run homebrew apps.

  3. Once the save is decrypted, it should contain the file named “i20-s.save” (or another similar name). Locate this file, as it contains your actual save data.

  4. Rename “i20-s.save” to e.g. “slot0-s.save” and paste it to “Documents\Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered\xxxxx-numbers” folder (where xxxxx is your user ID).

  5. Start up the game and the option to “Continue” should now be available.

  6. Press Continue, and load up your save file.

If you're wondering whether Spider-Man Remastered save data from the PS5 can be moved to the PC, sadly, that is not presently possible. Currently, the PS5 does not support saving data to a USB device.

Action-adventure game Marvel's Spider-Man was created by Insomniac Games and released by Sony Interactive Entertainment for PC on August 12, 2022. Follow this instructions to acquire the ideal settings for optimum performance.
