Although Soul Hackers 2's PC version doesn't have official ultrawide support, there is now a hack that enables the game to function properly on ultrawide displays.
The ultrawide mod for Soul Hackers 2 is available on Github and includes pillarbox removal, appropriate support for non-16:9 aspect ratios, configurable resolution support, and graphic fidelity improvements.

Atlus created and released the role-playing game Soul Hackers 2. It is the follow-up to Devil Summoner: Soul Hackers and the fifth game in the Devil Summoner series, which is a subset of the wider Megami Tensei brand. The game's characters were designed by Shirow Miwa, and Keiichi Okabe's Monaca studio produced the soundtrack. It takes place during a conflict between the Yatagarasu and the Phantom Society, two competing factions of Devil Summoners, and is set in the twenty-first century.
The two "Aion" entities Ringo and Figue are the main characters of the game. They journey into the world of humans from where they were born in the data stream in an effort to avert a cataclysmic event that they predict will put an end to humanity. The Press Turn method used in the core Shin Megami Tensei games serves as the foundation for Soul Hackers 2's battle system. In other Megami Tensei games, a party of four characters and their elemental affinities participate in fights.
