THQ Nordic released the remake, which was produced by Black Forest Games. It is currently accessible on PC and current-generation consoles such as the Xbox Series S|X and the PS5. It does, however, lack certain fundamental graphics settings, as do other Unreal Engine 4 titles. If you wish to disable the Destroy All Humans 2 Motion Blur effect, follow these steps.
Disable the Destroy All Humans 2 Motion Blur Effect
Many PC and console games use motion blur to smooth out movement. It can be especially useful for players that value a more seamless experience above visual clarity. In addition, if their PCs can already sustain a consistent framerate, many PC gamers prefer to turn it off in favor of a better visual.
The in-game settings do not allow you to disable this effect, similar to the original game. But all it takes is a minor setup change.
- Open Windows Run by either pressing Windows + R keys together or searching for it in Windows Search.
- Enter the following address, and press OK
%LOCALAPPDATA%\DH2\Saved\Config\WindowsNoEditor
- Here, open the Engine.ini file using a text editor like Notepad, or Notepad++
- Now, add the following lines at the bottom of the file
[SystemSettings] r.MotionBlurQuality=0
- Save the file (Ctrl+S), and exit out
All you have to do to avoid the little motion blur implementation in-game is that the next time you launch the game. This is one of those games that doesn't look all that horrible if you have a good framerate in the first place, but you can always make the experience clearer by turning off this parameter.
Turning it back on
Simply follow the instructions above and remove the r.MotionBlurQuality=0 line to enable motion blur once more.
We hope that this advice was useful and that you were able to turn off the motion blur effect in Destroy All Humans 2 on PC. Please feel free to ask any questions you may have in the comments section below.
