When it comes to racing games, we see that the Xbox platform gets the upper hand when compared to PlayStation. This, of course, is caused by one and only one series: Forza. In the past years, players were able to play either motorsport or open-world racing games from the series.
From time to time, developers tried to implement new features to the Motorsport or Horizon titles. Sometimes, these worked out well. Today, we will rank Forza games from the worst to the best and show which title is the best of the series. Without further due, let’s begin with the ranking.
5. Forza Motorsport 4
Motorsport titles are the ultimate racing simulators of the series, providing players with an immersive racing experience. If we mention “Motorsport” and don’t say Motorsport 4, it would be a shame. The game was the polished version of Motorsport 3, so did not include many features.
One of the only and key features of the game was that it enabled players to control cars using Kinect. While Microsoft’s Kinect is not something important today, back in the time it was an important addition.
4. Forza Motorsport 6
Being one of the newer Motorsport games, 6 was featuring impressive graphics in addition to the gameplay mechanics. The game added more cars, tracks, and elements when compared to its predecessor. It can be considered an important milestone in the series as Motorsport 7 received a lot of backlash over gameplay controls.
3. Forza Motorsport 3
The last Motorsport title on the ranking would be Motorsport 3. The game introduced some of the key gameplay mechanics we experience even today. Being in the Xbox 360 generation, it was the best racing simulator you could get your hands on. Therefore, it clearly deserves to be on the list.
2. Forza Horizon 3
Taking a step forward, we proceed with the Horizon titles. The open-world arcade-style racing game series dominated others for years now. Horizon 3 included key gameplay mechanics of the Horizon series, developed how we play various racing modes, and featured a huge open world.
Turn 10 Studios and Playground Games brought their forces together to create a big game, with features like Native 4K on Xbox One. Considering all of these, it deserves to be in second place on our list.
1. Forza Horizon 4
The predecessor to the latest Horizon game, Forza Horizon 4, is the best Forza game one can play. It features all the racing elements you would expect from a racing game with the addition of arcade elements. Different playstyles, weather conditions, planes, and all you could want.
